When we say Nueva Asha, we mean it. It’s not just a name. It’s a promise.

A promise to the 15-year-old girl in rural Bihar whose dreams are quietly fading because she may never return to school.
A promise to the young woman married off before she was ready, her future buried under expectations.
A promise to the bright minds whose talents are dimmed by poverty, silence, and systemic neglect.

At the Nueva Asha Foundation (NAF), we believe every girl—no matter where she is born—deserves a chance to learn, lead, and live with dignity. But in Bihar, the numbers tell a painful story:

  • Over 25% of girls drop out after Class 9

  • 40.8% of women are married before the age of 18

  • More than 63% of families survive on under ₹10,000 per month

Behind each number is a name, a face, a future at risk.

We launched NAF to change this.

We’re starting with 100 young girls through our Stars 2025 program. They are from SC/ST/OBC and minority communities. They’ve cleared Class 10 against all odds. But without support, many will be forced to leave education behind. We refuse to let that happen.

With your support, these girls receive:

  • Full tuition, exam and transport support

  • Digital access and mentorship

  • Life skills, health kits, and a sisterhood of support

  • And a “pay-it-forward” pledge—so when they succeed, they lift others

This is not charity. This is justice. This is investment. This is hope with a plan.

We believe Bihar’s daughters can be its boldest changemakers. Our blog will follow their journeys, share their voices, and highlight the inspiring work happening across communities.

Thank you for being part of this movement.
Let’s light the path, together.
